Initiatives
Hearts 4 Minds has multiple initiatives in progress, all to help those affected by mental illness as well as providing support for family and friends.
Here are a few initiatives near and dear to our hearts.
Connecting to Resources for Care
Nobody talks about their fantastic mental health therapist the way they talk about their favorite restaurant. Feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to turn when you need help the most?
We're transforming that experience.
Hearts 4 Minds bridges the gap between overwhelming options and meaningful mental health connections. Our H4M Connect platform doesn't just hand you another list – it's an intelligent matching system that understands your unique situation and connects you with a closely matched list of providers to provide the right support, accessible and stigma-free.
Empowering minds through connection, education, and awareness means having unapologetic conversations, promotion mental health literacy through education and training in suicide prevention, while still ensuring you are connected to mental health providers, when needed. Each search results in local, national and telehealth providers to meet your needs and support systems that actually fit your life – right here in Northeast Florida with expansions to come!
This isn't only about a list of resources. This is about transforming stigma into strength.
Our innovative Dragonfly Care Coordinator model has proven that the right connections improve treatment outcomes by up to 70%. Because when you're struggling, you don't need more choices – you need the right choice, delivered with compassion, understanding, and urgency that ensures every mind matters.
We're constantly expanding our network across Florida, Georgia, and nationally, building stronger communities where mental health care is accessible, effective, and focused on real, lasting solutions.
From confusion to connection. From resources to relationships. From stigma to strength.
Because Hearts 4 Minds lives in an innovative and transformative space – creating solutions that close gaps in access to care and building bridges to life-changing care, ensuring that mental health resources are readily available while promoting compassion, understanding, and action.
Hearts 4 Minds has compiled multiple resources for those who live in the Northeastern part of Florida, along with national resources. We continually add to our resource list so check back often. We know that creating connections in an easy, understandable manner can help remove some of the barriers to access.
Proactive Rather than Reactive
Every mind matters. And your voice can change everything.
We remain steadfast in our mission to empower minds through connection, education, and awareness by meeting the most critical needs in our communities. But real transformation doesn't happen in boardrooms—it happens when everyday heroes like you become ambassadors for change, spreading hope one conversation at a time.
This is where transforming stigma into strength™ becomes measurably powerful.
Our Wear One Share One dragonfly pin program has already distributed over 40,000 pins across five countries, creating a global movement of hope, help, and healing. When you wear your pin and share one with a friend, you're joining a proven force for change that's reaching millions. Our social media campaigns alone generated over 2.5 million impressions in 2024, proving that authentic symbols spark authentic conversations.
Being a Hearts 4 Minds ambassador means joining a movement with proven impact:
Seven active rescues and 18 suicide de-escalations through our Crisis Text Line
Over 3,200 people supported by our Dragonfly Care Coordinator
23 murals completed across Northeast Florida, connecting countless community members to life-saving resources
200 weekly searches on H4M Connect, matching people to mental health providers
The dragonfly effect isn't just real—it's measurable.
When you wear our "Mental Health Thriver" merchandise, share our message that reached over 1.6 million people on Facebook, or start conversations using our dragonfly symbol, you're actively building stronger communities where mental health care is accessible, stigma-free, and focused on real, lasting solutions.
Every purchase powers programs that save lives. Every conversation breaks down barriers and creates a pathway that saves lives. When you wear a pin or shirt and start a conversation, you have the opportunity to resonate with someone in need and every purchase is a donation and furthers our impact funding goal of $5 million to transform mental healthcare across Northeast Florida and beyond.
Ready to become an ambassador for transformation? Get your pin, wear the message, share the hope—and join the proven movement that's already saved lives and directly supported over 6,400 people on their mental health journey.
Create a Connected Care System
Connected care improves health outcomes. Working outside of traditional mental health models, Hearts 4 Minds created an innovative Dragonfly Care Coordinator that wraps a patient and their families in a system of care. The Care Coordinator helps monitor potential attrition, adjustments in therapy, preferences and integrates the family support system. The Care Coordinator also works broadly with the community at large to ensure the demand for mental health providers is met with urgency. Contact us for more information on how you can implement a Dragonfly Care Coordinator.

Those three seemingly simple steps help provide the knowledge to recognize the subtle signs of someone struggling and have the skills to prevent a tragedy.
Sheryl Johnson, from Hearts 4 Minds, provides training to individuals, organizations and corporations as a certified QPR Institute-trained instructor. Modeled similar to CPR, an emergency response to someone experiencing cardiac arrest, QPR provides the action steps to provide hope and support. It is not counseling and not treatment. Rather, QPR are steps anyone can take to help prevent suicide.
Murals with Meaning
We created our Murals with Meaning initiative to both promote mental health awareness and connections to resources while using art to enhance our community and reach people where they work, live and play.
Each mural is another avenue through which our community can access valuable information about mental illness and get help. Created in collaboration with talented artists, these murals leverage the power of art and visual imagery to reduce stigma, inspire compassion and understanding, while providing critical information to support the mental health journey.
To support Hearts 4 Minds, sponsor a mural today! Sponsorship is a great way to make a long-term investment in change and ensures the murals and information support the community for up to 10 years!
Mental Health Workshops
Founder Sheryl Johnson loves speaking at events and hosting Mental Health Workshops. She has collaborated both with the Jacksonville Jaguars and River City Science Academy to create these workshops and educate coaches, teachers, and students on how to recognize signs of mental health. She also teaches how to properly respond and assist those in distress, as well as how to break the stigma of mental illness.
If you’d like to host your own Mental Health Workshop with Sheryl, please reach out.
Public Speaking
Hearts 4 Minds is always looking for events to share our story and help those suffering from mental illness. Whether it’s at a church group, school, HOA, club, or other events, we love having the opportunity to share our message, as well as discuss the stigma of mental illness and what we’re doing to alter how we look at mental health. If you’d like Sheryl to speak at your event, please contact us. Let’s work together to save lives.
Messages with Heart
Positive messages are crucial for those impacted by mental illness. Our Messages with Heart initiative involves using sticky notes to write down kind words and leaving them in public areas for people to find. We leave them in grocery stores, businesses, airplanes, restaurants, trains, and more. Our goal is to show those struggling that they aren’t alone and that there is happiness available in this world. You can use either Hearts 4 Minds branded sticky notes or your own!
Partnerships
We know that changing the mental health ecosystem is a group effort. We work throughout our community and across the country to partner with hospitals, sports teams, schools, mental health providers, advocates, yoga programs, art programs, etc. We have strong partnerships with Baptist Health, Here Tomorrow, Florida Department of Health, JPEF, Mayo Community Coalition Alliance, Sophros Recovery, Haymaker Coffee, the Project Opioid, Drug-Free Duval, and many more. If you’re interested in working together, contact us.
